Let's build a PC for Truck Simulators

 Hello and welcome.  Today I will be building out my new Truck Simulator PC.  Now don't get me wrong this PC will be able to play most if not all current driving simulators.  So whether you like American Truck Simulator or Asseto Corsa you should have a great experience.  I personally play on triple monitors and for 1080p its smooth as butter.  So lets review what we are replacing.  

Gigabyte A320m SH2 Motherboard

Ryzen 5 1600af 

16gb Corsair Vengeance 2666mhz 

XFX RX580 XXX GTS 8gb

This PC served me well. I built it just at the start of COVID and it was for work and light play.  I was able to begin to see how awesome triple screen gaming was.  I had briefly visited triple screens may years ago when I had two HD 4870s in crossfire.. but that was sometime ago.

So I say good bye old friend you have served me well.  Don't worry you will be repurposed

Now on to the new.



I spent a good amount of time combing the internet and all the best places for info.  Youtube, Reddit forums etc.  

I ended up settling on a budget which I wanted to shrink even more.  I settled on $600-700.  I waited for Prime day to see if I could get any additional deals.  Luck would have it that I was able to shave off some coin and get it all for around the $700.  I should now be able to enjoy many of the current titles and still be able to play for years to come.

  Well that didn't take long at all.  The find folks over at Reforma Mod have updated so we can once again explore south of the border in American Truck Simulator.  I must say I really enjoyed my time spent in Mexico when I played before on version 1.49 I'm really excited to check it out. So you want to check it out yourself?  Ill show you where to go and what you need to do. First lets take a trip over to  Reforma Mods Here you will download two different files.  The Reforma Map and the Mega Resources Pack. You will be redirected to Truckymods.io don't be alarms this is a great place for mods and is a common depot to download the latest mods for ATS and ETS2.  Personally I get all my mods from either the Steam Workshop or TruckyMods.io Then its just as simple as copy and paste and you are off to the races. Some things I have found helpful for Truck Simulation Part 1

  Lets take a look at SimHub this is a stellar application that shouldn't be ignored.  There is a lot you can do with it and you will learn very quickly its a awesome tool to have in your belt.  This is a great way to use old phones and tablets and external displays for information on your favorite support game. Check out this picture I have a speedometer cluster and one of my own dashboards running on a old phone and tablet. Here is an example of a couple dashboards I created.  This Dashboard displays all kinds of great information on both the game and my PC. I have a route advisor at the top so I can easily spot the next gas station, rest stop or service station.  Below I have everything from my FPS to where I'm going.  This dashboard has been my way of learning from the elders of Simhub.  This is actually a Frankenstein of many great dashboards  I have found over time.    Let's take a moment to see what's going on behind the scenes of SimHub. It's a Dash Extravaganza!

 I have been hard at work honing my GIMP and Simhub skills.  I hope that each pack of gauges that I release get better and better.  I hope you enjoy.  Here are the packs I have released and stick around until the end to see a new pack I'm working on.  This pack will offer more customization for my fellow truck drivers. Here we have the AutoMeter Antique pack.  These are a slick set of gauges that would go great in any older or newer truck.  I have a full set with a few options.  to choose from.  I even included a analog style CPU, GPU and FPS gauge.  These are configured to use hwInfo64 but can be catered to use any monitoring software supported by Simhub.  This next pack is a IssPro gauges set.  These are currently catered to Kenworth but I will be uploading the badges for the rest of the trucks soon.
